Walt write a report on whales
Whales
There are two distinct groups of whales. One group has teeth and the other group don’t. Whales with teeth eat squids, dolphins and seals. Whales without teeth suck in all the water then all the water goes out of their bristles and they just swallow the small fish. These whales without teeth are called Baleen whales.

Whales are different from fish. The fish moves its tail side to side for moving. The whale move its tail up and down.

Whales can hold their breath under water for one hour. When they come up the surface, they blow water that can go up to 10 metres high.

Whales give birth to live babies not eggs. Whale babies are called calves and they have to stay close to their mum so they can suck on the milk when it’s hungry. They also stay with their mum while they learn to swim and dive.

Whales keep in touch with other whales by making clicking, thumping and squeaking sounds.

Sometimes whales get stranded if the weather is not good and they get stranded to the shore. Lots of people try to help the whales back into the ocean.
